Launch of a New Scientific Journal — "Silk Road Heritage Studies": Submissions Now Open!
The International Research Institute "Silk Road" announces the launch of a new international peer-reviewed scientific journal — "Silk Road Heritage Studies" — dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of the cultural, historical, and scientific heritage of the Silk Road countries.
The journal is published in English, with abstracts and keywords also accepted in English, Uzbek, and Russian. It is published twice a year — in April and October — with a planned transition to a quarterly format, and operates under the Open Access principle.
The journal's scope covers:
archaeology, historical geography, and artifacts of the Great Silk Road;
architectural heritage, historical urban planning, restoration and conservation of monuments;
manuscript heritage, paleography, codicology, and digitization of archival materials;
museology and digital technologies in museum practice;
contemporary artistic practices, traditional crafts, and creative industries;
sustainable tourism based on cultural heritage;
international scientific cooperation and intercultural dialogue;
biographies and scientific schools of prominent scholars from Silk Road countries.
The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case studies, results of scientific expeditions, source studies, book reviews, and other materials approved by the Editorial Board.
Submissions are now open. The journal operates on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. To submit your article, go to "About" → "Submissions" on the official website:
👉 https://heritagesilkroad.uz/index.php/srhs/about/submissions
Registration on the platform is required before submitting a manuscript:

We invite scholars, doctoral candidates, and practitioners from various countries to take part in shaping the journal's first issue!
