The branch of the "Civil Engineering and Architecture" department of Turin Polytechnic University was successfully inaugurated

The branch of the "Civil Engineering and Architecture" department of Turin Polytechnic University was successfully inaugurated at the "Silk Road" International Research Institute in Samarkand.

The opening of the department marks the beginning of the implementation of a dual education system, which integrates theoretical training at the university with practical experience in project and research institutes.

Alongside educational activities, expeditions and field studies will be conducted at the branch of the department to study, preserve, and monitor Uzbekistan's architectural monuments. Advanced technologies such as laser scanning and photogrammetry will be used to prepare 3D models and electronic documentation of the monuments.

These modern technologies will enable detailed analysis and reconstruction of objects, the development of new approaches to research and restoration, and the introduction of innovations in heritage preservation as well as in the training of highly qualified specialists.

This project is a vivid example of successful interaction between science and education, aimed at developing practical skills, conducting relevant research, and strengthening the connection between theory and practice. We express our gratitude to the leadership of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent for this important initiative and are confident that our collaboration at the branch of the department in Samarkand, at the "Silk Road" International Research Institute, will be long-lasting and fruitful.
