Institute has established Partnership with Islamic Science University of Malaysia in Nilai

On January 22, 2025, “Silk Road” International Research Institute held an online meeting with Islamic Science University of Malaysia in Nillai.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in applying advanced methods and technologies for the preservation, restoration, and study of cultural heritage sites, as well as issues related to the digitization of data on architectural monuments.

In addition, research conducted by the Institute's staff aimed at creating a comprehensive collection of Uzbekistan's architectural monuments, studying architecture of sacred sites and the development of pilgrimage tourism sparked significant interest among representatives of the Islamic Science University of Malaysia. Furthermore, Parties agreed to establish future cooperation in this area.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties identified strategic directions for the partnership and proposed several additions to the memorandum text regarding the discussed aspects of cooperation. Currently, the final text of the memorandum of cooperation between the “Silk Road” International Research Institute and the Islamic Science University of Malaysia in Nilai is being prepared for signing, formalizing the parties' intentions to promote experience exchange and collaboration in research.
